I’m trying to decide between an art piece and a new mirror for my home. How do I choose?

It really depends on what you are trying to achieve. Art adds personality to a home. Mirrors enlarge and expand a room, are handy to have for that last glance before a night out on the tiles, and can make a powerful fashion statement.

How long do I have to wait for my mirror to be delivered?

Once your payment has been cleared, we are usually able to despatch and deliver your mirror(s) within 10 working days to mainland UK, though sometimes it can take longer.

How much do you charge for delivery?

We offer free delivery to Standard UK mainland. Non Standard or other delivery destinations such as Scottish Highlands, will be subject to a delivery surcharge. (Please ask for further details)

What if they deliver when I’m out?

If the delivery is unsuccessful, the courier will leave a note showing the date and time of the delivery attempt. The note will also show the courier’s contact details and a consignment tracking number. The courier will attempt a second delivery free of charge – often on the following day. If you are likely to be unavailable for a second delivery attempt, or would like to arrange when a second attempt is made, we advise you to contact the delivery company directly as it may be possible to arrange this. If a second delivery attempt is unsuccessful, the courier will try to contact you by phone and hold the parcel at your local depot for up to 3 days where it will be available for collection. At the discretion of the delivery company, it may be possible to arrange a third delivery attempt. If, after this time, the parcel has still not been delivered it will be returned to our suppliers. If non-delivered parcels need to be re-despatched from our suppliers then delivery charges will apply, please see our terms and conditions.

Do you take cheques?

Yes we do. Simply post the cheque to our address (in the Contact Us section), along with the Product Name and your contact details (Your full name, telephone number, and email address). A member of our Sales Team will then contact you to confirm your order. Once the payment has settled, we will process and despatch your order.

Do you have a showroom?

Yes, we have a showroom based in London. Viewings are by appointment only. Contact us to arrange a viewing.

Do you give discount for trade customers?

Please refer to our trade section. Please note that we will require proof of trade identity.

Are you VAT registered?

Yes. All our prices include VAT at the current rate

What happens if my mirror arrives damaged?

Though we go to great lengths to ensure that the mirrors are packaged with care, due to the nature of the product, on rare occasions breakages will still occur in transit. The mirrors are checked upon delivery by our professional handlers, with the receiver of the product present, and if this be the case, we will supply a replacement mirror promptly at no cost to you. The receiver's signature will be required to say that the order was delivered in suitable condition. Please see our full returns policy.

What if my mirror does not suit my home, as I thought it would?

As part of our 100% satisfaction guarantee, providing that the mirror is not damaged and is returned in its original packaging, you have a 7 day ‘no questions asked’ refund period from the day of delivery, in which you can return the mirror and either receive a full refund (minus delivery costs incurred), or receive a suitable alternative.

What is a ‘bevelled’ mirror?

A bevelled glass mirror is one that has a narrow border around the outer edge of the glass, cut with a slight slope for an attractive effect, especially when framed.

Why do framed mirrors vary so much in price?

The main reason is the frame finish. Frames can be finished very inexpensively with sprays, paper-wraps, and foil-wraps, but the more attractive finishes have numerous steps including hand-laid metal leaf and hand-antiquing. This gives a richer, deeper metallic finish like the Old World finishes of the past.

Can you put any mirror in the bathroom or does it have to be a bathroom mirror?

The main thing that differs between the bathroom mirrors we sell and the rest of the range is that the bathroom mirrors contain no wooden parts.

If a wooden back board or frame is subjected to high humidity or gets wet regularly it can potentially warp or buckle. However, many of our customers have bought standard timber framed mirrors that have been hung in bathrooms without any problem. If you have good ventilation and the mirror is not in a place where it will get wet it is unlikely that you would have a problem.

What is the best way to clean my mirrors?

Mirrors or glass can be cleaned with any glass cleaner on the market and a clean cloth or paper towel. For cleaning or dusting a frame, only use a clean dry cloth. We do not recommend any cleaning solution be used on the frame.

How should I hang my mirror?

As mirrors tend to be heavier than normal framed pictures, we advise that you use special wall fixings specifically designed for hanging mirrors.

Can I have a Premium Home Mirrors catalogue sent to me?

We do not currently produce a catalogue. The web site is updated weekly to reflect our ever changing stock.
